Cleanliness is to the highest standard.”

“My father has now been at Glenholme for 2 months, moving from another care home setting. He has settled into Glenholme very quickly due to the amazing staff who have cared for him exceptionally well – nothing is ever too much trouble. My da can be a little withdrawn, but since being here, he has been
encouraged to socialise and join in activities which he has thoroughly enjoyed. He is very happy and as a family we are thrilled to see him so.”

Beverley C

“My father spent 3 weeks in the fantastic nursing care, what a brilliant change and improvement to his health and wellbeing.”

Sarah S

“Halmer Court is a very welcoming Care Home, from reception in the Bistro through to carers and all staff. The standards of care are excellent and residents needs are always complied with. The building and residents rooms are very clean, bright and comfortably furnished. Food is excellent at all meals, nourishing and nicely presented.”

“My mother recently spent 2 weeks in respite care at Vera James House. The time was a positive experience for her. She remarked how kind and caring the staff are. The food she said was very good.
I made numerous visits to her, and always found the staff to be friendly, efficient and courteous. All in all, it was a positive experience for our family.”

John N

“My mother was admitted to Glenholme Holdingham Grange for end-of-life care. The facilities, staff and professionalism have been superb. This is by far the best senior care facility I have encountered and I recommend it without hesitation or qualification. My mother could not have found a better residence.”

Food & Nutrition

At Glenholme, we see mealtimes as an important and enjoyable part of daily life. Residents are warmly encouraged to dine together in our inviting dining rooms, though they are always welcome to enjoy their meals in the privacy of their own rooms if they prefer.

Our bistros provide a relaxed setting for morning coffee and afternoon tea, and for those who enjoy cooking, the bistros are also available as a space to prepare their own dishes.

We take great pride in offering food that is both nourishing and indulgent. Every menu is carefully planned to provide balanced, healthy meals, while never compromising on flavour or variety. From comforting favourites to more refined dishes, our residents can enjoy dining that feels both luxurious and satisfying.

Activities & Events

We believe it is crucial that all our residents are able to enjoy an active life. For this reason, our homes are designed with activity at their heart. A varied programme of events and activities keeps residents engaged, entertained, and socially connected, while regular outings to nearby places such as garden centres, parks, museums, or cafés help ensure they remain part of the wider community.
