Glenholme Healthcare Group is pleased to announce the transformation of Red House, located at 11 Emlyns Street, Stamford PE9 1QP, into Cecilian Court, a state-of-the-art supported living service for individuals with learning disabilities.

The planned renovation will convert the existing three-storey building, formerly a care home for the elderly, into 11 modern, self-contained supported living flats. Each flat will be specifically designed to meet the needs of individuals with various conditions, including autism spectrum conditions, social, emotional, or communication difficulties, physical and other learning disabilities requiring daily support.

A Modern and Inclusive Environment
The redevelopment of Cecilian Court will incorporate communal areas to foster socialisation among residents, as well as office space and facilities for the support staff. Currently, the Red House property includes 22 beds and has undergone several adaptations over the years, including two rear extensions and the construction of a car port. These adaptations provide a solid foundation for converting the property into a supported living environment. Each new flat will feature a generous open-plan living space that includes an ensuite bathroom, kitchen, and dining area, and good accessibility for those with mobility needs.

Tailored Support Services
Glenholme’s supported living services enable individuals to live independently within the community while receiving the necessary physical and emotional support. Each resident will have their own tenancy agreement with the appointed housing provider, Golden Lane Housing Association. The service will focus on a progressive model of enablement, helping residents develop their independence and confidence as active community members. Residents will benefit from personalised care and support packages designed to meet their unique needs. This includes assistance with self-care, health management, daily living activities, community integration, education, and employment. Specialist training for staff ensures the highest quality service delivery, with 24-hour staffing and a dedicated on-site manager to oversee daily operations.

Community Integration and Quality Care
Glenholme Healthcare Group is committed to fostering community inclusion and encouraging residents to participate in various activities, pursue their interests, and access local services. The communal lounge, dining, and garden facilities will provide valuable opportunities for shared learning, activities, and relationship-building. Cecilian Court will not be commissioned or regulated to provide nursing care; however, it will work in partnership with local GPs and health professionals to support tenants with medical needs.

A New Chapter for Red House
The transformation of Red House into Cecilian Court marks a new chapter in its history of providing care to the community. Glenholme Healthcare Group is excited to bring this vibrant and modern supported living service to Stamford, offering a safe and supportive environment for adults with learning disabilities to thrive and lead fulfilling lives.
