After several weeks of creativity, collaboration and careful attention to detail, residents at Thimbleby Court have proudly unveiled a remarkable new addition to their home: a Lego model of Thimbleby Court itself.
The project was led by the home’s popular Lego club, where residents come together each week to build, design and share ideas. What began as a simple concept gradually evolved into an ambitious and highly detailed recreation of the home, capturing its familiar features in miniature form.
Home Manager Hazel praised the finished piece, describing it as “fabulous”, a sentiment clearly shared by many. The model is now proudly displayed in reception, where it has already attracted a great deal of attention and positive feedback from visitors, families and staff alike.
The project was supported by volunteer Robert, an enthusiastic and experienced Lego builder, who worked closely with residents throughout the process. His guidance helped bring the vision to life, while ensuring that everyone involved could contribute in a meaningful and enjoyable way.
Beyond the impressive final result, the project has offered significant benefits to those who took part. It encouraged teamwork, creativity and conversation, while also providing a sense of achievement and pride. For many residents, it has been just as much about the shared experience as the finished model itself.
The Thimbleby Court Lego build stands as a testament to what can be achieved when creativity, community spirit and a little patience come together.
