Situated in the heart of March, Cambridgeshire, Wendreth Court Care Home stands as a sanctuary of comfort and well-being. This modern facility offers 54 ensuite bedrooms spread across two inviting floors. Our comprehensive care services encompass dementia care, residential care, respite care, and end-of-life care, catering to a diverse range of needs.

Our home is meticulously designed to provide residents with both comfort and convenience. From the warm reception and bar area to the dayrooms and quiet lounges, every space speaks of homeliness. Multiple lounges, dining areas and the in-house pub offer spaces for socialisation and relaxation, while our salon promises moments of pampering, and with lift access throughout, mobility is never an issue. We take immense pride in our professionally prepared meals, ensuring nutritional balance and delightful tastes. The home is also fitted with disability-friendly bathrooms and boasts Wi-Fi connectivity throughout, bridging the gap between comfort and modernity.

At Wendreth Court, we deeply understand the uniqueness of each individual. Our care approach is bespoke and centred around personal preferences and needs. A dedicated team, in close collaboration with local healthcare professionals, ensures holistic well-being for every resident. Our dementia wing, aligned with the National Dementia Strategy, is designed to aid orientation, while our trained staff adeptly support those with dementia.

March itself is a picturesque Fenland market town, steeped in charm and history. The old River Nene winds its way through, dotted with vibrant boats. With the town centre offering a unique Broad Street lined with a plethora of shops and the historic Church of St Wendreda, it’s a place of both heritage and modern conveniences. OUR TEAM

Wendreth Court care home hosts a team of care professionals as well as our excellent cleaning, maintenance, and catering staff. They are led by our home manager and supported by the wider Glenholme Healthcare Group.

Registered Home Manager

Andrew is an adept manager with an extensive background spanning over 15 years in the care industry, where he has specialised in services for older individuals, including dementia care. His tenure at Vera James House stands as a testament to his successful leadership and deep-seated commitment to enhancing the lives of residents. Now, Andrew lends his support and expertise to the establishment of Wendreth Court care home. In this role, he continues to champion the principles of compassionate and personalised care, ensuring that the residents’ dignity and individual needs are at the core of the home’s ethos. Andrew’s approach to management and care exemplifies a dedication to excellence and a steadfast commitment to improving the quality of life for the elderly in our community.

Andrew and his team have undergone extensive checks prior to employment to ensure that they have the skills and qualities we require when working with older and vulnerable people. They are trained in moving & handling, health & safety, food hygiene, basic first aid, abuse awareness (safeguarding), administering medicine, infection control and the care certificate as well as other bespoke training as required.

LIFE WITH GLENHOLME

Before making the final decision to move into Halmer Court potential residents will be encouraged to spend time there to ensure it is the best place for them. A comprehensive pre-admission assessment will be completed which will concentrate on the persons’ needs and wishes.
