We are always incredibly proud to share growth and progress stories from our service users. Our latest comes from Hannah, who recently moved to The Marlowes – our specialist Supported Living service in Hemel Hempstead.
With support and positive encouragement from staff, Hannah has been focussing on losing weight to increase her independence. She has not only successfully been able to lose weight, but has also managed to improve her mobility with moving and handling, meaning she now needs less support in this area.
Hannah also completes daily tasks independently, such as washing up, folding laundry and wiping down work surfaces, which are all day-to-day tasks that she struggled to complete before losing weight. She has felt very encouraged and supported by the team at The Marlowes.
Staff asked Hannah how she is finding it living in the Marlowes and how she feels about her achievements so far, Hannah said:
“I love all staff here and feel so supported, I’m so proud of myself”.
